I got to sleep in today until 6:30, so I did. Today was actually a good exercise day. I think rest day helps you to recover some strength. I guess that's why you're supposed to have two days of rest a week even according to my internet twit. I did find out that those exercise rubber bands do in fact snap, but they probably can't hurt you (the first time I pulled on one I turned my head and squinted my eyes because I thought it would snap like a normal rubber band--it does snap, but not with nearly the same velocity). I need to get another one of those or something similar---this exercise stuff would be expensive if I wasn't getting loaned so many things.
EJ, my husband, almost caught me doing my jumping jacks. Thankfully he walks louder than I jump, so I heard him coming. I want you to know that even though I started out pitifully, I am making progress. With the rest day I was revitalized enough to do more than 30 jumping jacks at a time. Because EJ woke up right before my last set, I had a 5 minute rest and could manage a 70, 60, 40 set of jumping jacks. I have hopes that within a couple of weeks I can do 3 sets of 60 five times a routine (do the math--5*60=300 3*300=900 stinkin' jumping jacks! That's nearly 1000!) and actually complete a "level 1 beginner" routine. It's a little sad that it is going to take close to a month to be in good enough shape to be considered a "level 1 beginner," but it's cool that I can see progress.
