Do you know how old that you have to be to have someone who is thirty-something think that you are older than dirt? Well, apparently you need to be exactly as old as I am today. I just realized today that my thirty-something year old friends are right; I am older than dirt and what’s worse; I’m overweight and out of shape. I recently decided that walking is not enough to lose some weight---I’ve been walking almost everyday for a couple of years unless it was raining, I was injured, or I was sick---and I am not losing weight. So…I signed up for a free 14 day trial of an online weight loss program. It has you alternate days of walking (or cardio days) and days of strength training exercising. The following is a blog of this adventure to weight loss and getting into a condition that is at least similar to my former self. I was a jock. I ran 10 miles a day and swam a mile a day five days a week. I weighed 90 pounds and could eat a whole pizza by myself and not gain an ounce. I am now twice that weight and can’t run more than a half mile and if I even smell pizza, I gain 5lbs.

That's it. I've had enough.
